Molecular/Microbiologist (contract)

New Culture is a currently going through Class 8 of the IndieBio program and we are looking for a molecular/microbiologist to help us with some exciting and groundbreaking science.

We are making sustainable, ethical and amazing tasting cheese without the need of animals or farms. By drastically reducing land usage, water usage, energy usage, greenhouse gas emissions and eliminating animal cruelty, we are culturing a dairy industry for the 10 billion people that will be living on planet earth by 2050.

Our first area of focus will be delicious tasting, real cow cheese, without the cow. 

We are wanting an experienced lab technician to join us for 3 - 4 months in the IndieBio lab to help us optimize and build scalable processes for recombinant dairy protein expression. Ideally you will have 3+ years experience in some of the following:

  • Molecular biology (PCR, cloning)

  • Protein expression

  • Protein purification & identification

  • Microbiology 

  • Fermentation

We are looking for someone that is creative, shows initiative and works well with others. A full time position with vesting may be offered at the end of the program.
