Culturing the Growth of Clean Dairy

Dairy without Animals

New Culture is a team of PhD students and graduates from New Zealand.

Why New Culture?

Water Usage

The production of one kilogram of beef requires approximately 15 thousand litres of water.

Climate Change

The world's livestock account for 18% of anthropogenic greenhouse gases

Animal Welfare

Over 56 billion farmed animals are killed every year by humans.

Land Shortage

One-third of the planet's arable land is occupied by livestock feed crop cultivation.

Food Shortage

A cow consumes 75kg - 300kg of dry matter to produce just 1kg of protein.

Our Interests

Clean Dairy

We are developing a new and highly scalable way to express recombinant bovine dairy proteins to make clean cheese.
